Trauma Teddies - Knitters Appeal

Trauma Teddies - Knitters Appeal

NWH Group has teamed up with children’s charity, Children 1st to help Police Scotland with their Trauma Teddies scheme.

The scheme had been introduced to help children caught up in traumatic situations by the Police Officer attending the incident given them a knitted teddy bear to bring them comfort and help them during these situations.

We are appealing to all employees, customers, business associates, NWH Group followers, and of course everyone’s friends and families to come on board and help with the knitting of these teddy bears.

As well as providing comfort to children, families will receive information about how they can access support through Children 1st Parentline support service.

The more teddies we can collect, the more children Police Scotland can reach and comfort in distressing times.

So, if you are a dab hand with the knitting needles or crochet hook, have a look at the patterns below and see if you can help us, help comfort children.

Teddies can be dropped into NWH Group Head Office, Unit 5 Mayfield Ind. Estate, Dalkeith, EH22 4AD.  Or you can contact Children 1st direct for alternative drop off points.

Your support is greatly appreciated.
