NWH announced as environmental partner for The Centre Livingston

We are delighted to announce we have been appointed by Savills to provide waste management and recycling services for The Centre shopping centre in Livingston.

Housing more 150 shops and places to eat, The Centre will be utilising a range of services from NWH including dry mixed recycling, glass, trade and green waste recycling, as well as and ad-hoc management for other waste streams such as WEEE.

All waste collected will be processed at NWH’s own recycling facilities, then whenever possible, transformed into new products for reuse.

Finlay Toulouse, Business Development Manager at The NWH Group, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Savills for the first time at this prestigious retail location. The contract win demonstrates our ability to service the needs of such a facility, supported by our reputation for strong account management and our innovative approach to technical support with a focus on improving environmental credentials for our customers.

“We’re already in discussions with the site to roll out a variety of new measures, such as glass crushing, on-site recycling and de-watering food waste, that will increase recycling rates significantly, reducing waste produced and improving the overall carbon footprint of the site.”

Patrick Robbertze, Centre Director at The Centre, Livingston, said: “We are delighted to be working with The NWH Group, which is an innovative company that aligns with our sustainability measures, to provide our waste management and recycling services to help reduce our carbon footprint.”
