NWH Group invests £200k in Newcastle

UK leading recycling company, The NWH Group, has made an initial investment of £200,000 to launch a new fleet of front-end loading industrial waste containers for customers in and around Newcastle.

Once this service is established, further investment in containers and vehicles will follow.

Having first expanded into Newcastle during the latter part of 2018, The NWH Group has already invested more than £2m in new facilities and people, currently employing 41 staff in the area. During 2021, the business moved to a bigger site - upscaling its premises from 2023m² to 18,000m² – in order to accommodate future growth.

Nicola Williams, Sales and Marketing Director at The NWH Group, said: “As promised when we arrived in Newcastle, we continue to recruit and invest in the area – bringing our wide range of recycling and waste management services to businesses in the north east.

“Our three-acre site is ideally located to support city centre trade as well as the surrounding areas. Since moving in, we have been continually upgrading our infrastructure so as to ensure we can provide our usual high standards of service to customers throughout industrial, construction, healthcare, office, hospitality and leisure sectors.”

What is a front-end loader?

Easy to load and emptied on site, NWH’s lightweight front-end loader (FEL) containers are particularly suitable for industrial and commercial waste collection.

The industrial sized containers are left on site and emptied on a scheduled service to suit the customers’ needs. The FEL containers are securely enclosed, which makes them ideal for the safe storage of material.

For ease of collection, NWH’s FEL trucks, with their hydraulic forks on the front, easily lift the container up and empty the contents into the refuse collection vehicle (RCV) to be returned to the material recycling facility for processing.

FEL's are perfect for high volumes of compactable general waste, cardboard and dry mixed recycling, they are a great alternative to multiple wheelie bins taking up space on site, and as they are emptied on location, they offer an efficient and cost-effective waste collection option.
