Five DIY Project Ideas For 2021

Five DIY Project Ideas For 2021

As we continue to spend more and more time at home, are you wondering what to do with yourself?

Here at NWH, we are always interested to find projects that can prevent materials ending up as waste and with a recent study from Aviva telling us over 85% of UK adults tried some form of DIY during the summer lockdown, here are some ideas to keep you busy that don’t include baking banana bread.

Build garden furniture

As we continue to spend time in our gardens, why not look at creating some beautiful outdoor furniture. You can use leftover pallets, bits of wood and even old tyres to create something special like this one by Jodie Loveridge.

Make a coffee table

Got some spare wood lying around? A coffee table for indoor or outdoor could be a great project to undertake, especially if you don’t have much experience doing DIY. You could even upcycle your current coffee table, there is lots of ideas here.

Home improvements

Whether you are looking to finally complete that job around the house or you have decided to do a complete renovation, there is lots of ideas here. From using up old wallpaper and painting to cleaning and upcycling, there is a project to suit everyone.

Build a bar

With the closure of hospitality venues, one of the most enjoyable projects you can do is building an outside bar. There are plenty of different designs to choose from and most can be adapted depending on the space you have available. You can use old materials to create something brilliant like this one, The Drunken Crab. With the interior resembling a traditional pub, this is a DIY effort we can all be jealous of.

Home gym

Last but not least, if you are looking for DIY project to help you build up a sweat, why not try building your own gym. This one was made using scrapyard finds and B&Q buys.

No matter the size of your project, we have the waste solution to help you. We offer small, medium and large skips as well as a wait and load service. Head to our skip hire page to book your skip today.
