Supporting Newly Qualified HGV Drivers: The NWH Group's Commitment to Empowering Talent

As the demand for qualified heavy goods vehicle (HGV) drivers continues to rise, the NWH Group is proud to announce our new initiative aimed at supporting newly qualified drivers with little or no experience in securing full-time permanent positions. Our company recognises the importance of providing opportunities for talented individuals to enter the industry and develop successful careers.

Understanding the challenges faced by inexperienced HGV drivers in securing employment, we have designed a comprehensive program that includes full training, mentorship, and guaranteed permanent roles after passing assessment, within our organisation. While other companies may offer trainee or apprentice salaries to inexperienced drivers, we believe in providing fair compensation from the outset.

If you join our Tipper or Skips fleet, you can expect five weeks of training and the guidance of a dedicated mentor throughout the program. This comprehensive approach ensures that our newly qualified drivers gain the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. From road safety regulations to maneuvering techniques, we leave no stone unturned in equipping our drivers with the expertise required for a successful career in the industry.

Recognising the value that our drivers bring to our operations; we ensure that their dedication and hard work are duly compensated. During the training period, you will receive a starting wage of £10.42 per hour for the first eight hours of work. After that, you will be entitled to time and a half, allowing for increased earnings as you gain experience and progress in your role. On average, this amounts to a weekly income of £573.10 for a 50-hour workweek during the training period.

The NWH Group is committed to building a team of highly skilled professionals who share our vision for excellence in the logistics industry. By investing in the development of newly qualified HGV drivers, we aim to bridge the gap between training and employment, opening doors for aspiring individuals and fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Our initiative not only provides financial stability but also creates a supportive and nurturing environment for our drivers. Our dedicated mentors offer guidance and support, ensuring that new drivers feel confident and valued as they transition into their roles. We understand that starting a new career can be daunting, and our aim is to empower our drivers, helping them unlock their full potential and build long-lasting careers.

At the NWH Group, we believe that talent should be recognised and rewarded from the moment it enters the industry. We are excited to embark on this journey of empowering newly qualified HGV drivers, shaping the future of our organisation, and contributing to the growth and development of the logistics sector as a whole.

If you're a newly qualified HGV driver looking for an opportunity to kickstart your career, the NWH Group is here to support you. Join us today and become part of a dynamic team that values your skills, invests in your growth, and offers a pathway to long-term success in the industry.
