TRADE WASTE FAQ

No matter the size of your business, the need to manage and safely dispose of produced waste is the same.

Companies in the United Kingdom are bound by numerous legislations when handling on-site waste produced from business operations; most notably the Environmental Protection Act 1990 - that’s where The NWH Group can assist.

It's our goal to provide the best business waste service possible to customers and we employ a number of methods to ensure refuse is efficiently stored, collected and recycled at our waste management facilities across Scotland and North East England.

Got a question about our trade waste service? Check out our frequently asked questions below.

How do I choose a waste collection service?

Every business has a unique set of requirements when it comes to waste collection. Some businesses require regular collection times, while other businesses may need the service on a more flexible basis.

Additionally, businesses in some cities will need to meet different regulations than other cities, so it is essential to find a waste collection partner who complies with these rules. A building contractor will need a different type of waste collection to a restaurant, and we are flexible enough to facilitate a wide range of waste management services.

Can a waste management service reduce my environmental impact?

Yes, certainly. Our facilities ensure that all waste is recyclable.

The trade and commercial waste that is collected is delivered to our recycling facility where it is later sorted between different materials, such as glass and dry recycling, and either turned into a recyclable product that is regenerated or non-recyclable materials go to our incineration area where it is transformed into renewable energy.
