Collecting waste with its fleet of trade refuse, skip, tipper, grab and walking floor articulated vehicles, it transports materials to its own recycling facilities where they are transformed into high value products such as cardboard, paper, washed sands, biomass for energy and animal bedding.

We are now looking for an office based Account Manager to join our team in Edinburgh and the Lothians, to grow and develop Construction and Demolition customer accounts in Scotland. The Account Manager role is responsible for ensuring the customer is communicated with and, to retention and grow accounts, ensuring that revenue streams are maximised, and clients are utilising off the Groups services.

Due to the nature of the role, driving is not essential. Experience working in the Construction, Demolition or Waste industries is preferential but not essential to be considered. This role will offer a salary of £22,000 to £25,000 per annum, with OTE of £30,000 per annum.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Maintain and develop existing customers to optimise sales, quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate account contract extensions and price increases
  • Cross sell to new customers fed into your portfolio
  • Monitor and report on clients usage figures
  • Work closely with the New Business Sales team to effectively take on new customers into your portfolio.
  • Ensure new clients are set up correctly and receive the expected service from our Operations teams
  • Keep updated in relevant industry legislation
  • Promote the NWH brand
