Refuse Derived Fuel

Waste collected by The NWH Group is taken from sites, any non-combustible materials used glass and metals are removed, and the residual material use to create the fuel.

The process involves the materials being shredded, dried, baled and then finally transferred to waste to energy recycling facilities to produce Refuse Derived Fuel.

Refuse Derived Fuel is renewable energy that ensures waste simply isn’t thrown into a landfill and instead, put to good use.

The energy harvested from the residual material is used to produce electricity and hot water for communal heating systems.
