Rate of Pay: £16 per hour

About The Role

We are recruiting for a Nightshift Machine Operator to join our team at our Glasgow depot.

You will be responsible for safely operating plant and machinery to support the movement, sorting and processing of materials across the site. This is a hands on role within a busy operational environment where safety, teamwork and efficiency are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operating plant and machinery across the depot
  • Loading, moving and sorting materials as required
  • Carrying out daily checks and reporting any defects or concerns
  • Ensuring machinery is operated safely and in line with site procedures
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the site
  • Following all Health and Safety procedures and wearing the required PPE
  • Supporting the wider depot team when required

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience operating plant or machinery
  • Experience operating a wheeled material rehandler, 360 excavator or loading shovel
  • Relevant plant tickets are preferred, although an in house ticket can be provided for candidates with suitable experience
  • A strong awareness of Health and Safety requirements
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A reliable and positive approach to work
  • The ability to work in a busy operational environment
