Location: Dumfries

Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hour

Hours: 48 Hours per week, with required overtime paid at time and a half

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our team at our Dumfries site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a wheeled 360 excavator within a busy recycling and waste management environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operating a wheeled 360 excavator
• Loading and moving materials around the site
• Sorting and handling waste and recyclable materials
• Carrying out daily checks and basic maintenance of the machine
• Reporting any defects or safety concerns promptly
• Keeping the working area clean, safe and organised
• Following all company health and safety procedures
• Supporting the wider site team when required

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with:

• Previous experience operating a wheeled 360 excavator is essential
• Relevant operator tickets would be beneficial but are not essential
• A strong awareness of health and safety
• The ability to work confidently within a busy operational environment
• A reliable and flexible approach to work
• Willingness to work additional hours when required
