Role: Weighbridge Operator / Order Processing Customer Support 

Salary: £35,000 per annum 

Location: Tealing, By Dundee, DD4 0QB

We are looking for a Weighbridge Operator / Order Processing Customer Support to join our team at Petterden. This is a key role within our site operations where you will be responsible for managing weighbridge activity, processing orders, and ensuring all site transactions are recorded accurately.

You will act as a central point of contact between drivers, customers, and the wider operations team, so your attention to detail and ability to manage a busy workload is essential.

Job Activities:

  • Welcome, with a professional and friendly approach, all drivers and visitors to site
  • Accurately weigh vehicles in and out using the weighbridge system
  • Create, record and process orders onto internal systems in a timely manner
  • Ensure all documentation is completed correctly, including tickets and transfer notes
  • Liaise with drivers, customers, and site staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Handle general enquiries both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company procedures
  • Support with administrative duties relating to site operations
  • Work closely with the wider team to ensure efficient running of the site
  • Demonstrate a positive approach to change and continuous improvement

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Previous experience in an administrative or weighbridge role is desirable
  • Confident IT skills, including experience using Microsoft packages
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong communication skills with a professional manner
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Organised and proactive approach to workload
  • A positive and flexible attitude towards work
