Head Office Mayfield Edinburgh

HGV Workshop Night Shift Fueller, Dalkeith

The NWH Group is a second-generation family business headquartered in Midlothian. Servicing the whole of Scotland and the north east of England from ten sites, the NWH Group’s vision is to eliminate waste by transforming it into a valuable product.

On our journey to eliminate waste we provide waste collection services to the Commercial & Industrial, Office, Leisure & Retail and Construction industries. Collecting waste with our fleet of Trade Refuse, Skip, Tipper, Grab and Walking Floor articulated vehicles, we transport materials to our material recycling facilities where we produce and recover valuable products such as metals, cardboard, paper, washed sands, biomass for energy and animal bedding.

The business is now ready for the next phase of growth following strong trading performances. We are recruiting to expand our team to deliver this growth.

The NWH Group has strong family values and cultures which underpin the recruitment process. Do you want to work for a business which puts safety and compliance at the forefront of everything? Would you like to be part of a team who never settle and are always aiming higher, who value each other’s contributions and who always strive to deliver that local service whilst part of a national business? If the answer is yes, then we may have the position for you.

We are now recruiting for a Night Shift Fueller to join our HGV Workshop based at our Head Office in Dalkeith, Midlothian. This is a full-time role operating on a constant night shift basis, starting at approximately 17:00 – 01:30 each day, with overtime regularly available. The rate of pay for this role is £10.00 per hour for the first 8 hours of each shift, with overtime at £15.00 thereafter; in addition to this, a shift allowance of £20.00 per night is included.

This is a vital role to our Transport and Workshop operations within the business, ensuring that vehicles are re-fuelled, ad-hoc labouring duties, low level vehicle maintenance and other duties are performed ready for the following day.

The ideal candidate would have experience in a similar role or environment, and ideally hold a HGV License, or have held one in the past. At a minimum candidates must hold their Cat B Car License, and have experience driving larger vehicles.
