Type of Work: Hybrid - 3 days office, 2 days working from home

At The NWH Group, we're not just managing waste; we're revolutionising the industry with innovation and sustainability at the forefront. As our Cashier, you'll play a crucial role in our mission by ensuring that every financial transaction is executed with precision and efficiency. 

What You'll Do: 

  • Process payments, cheques, BACS, and customer refunds with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy at every step. 

  • Handle credit card payments and reconcile unallocated cash, maintaining a keen eye on financial integrity. 

  • Allocate payments and chase remittances as necessary, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding accounts. 

  • Manage banking and account transactions efficiently, contributing to the smooth operation of our financial systems. 

  • Utilise the GoCardless platform to maintain and update data on our accounting system, including running direct debits bi-monthly. 

  • Follow up with customers regarding cancelled or failed direct debits, providing proactive support to ensure seamless transactions. 

  • Assist in resolving customer queries and setting up new customer accounts, delivering exceptional service at every touchpoint. 

  • Collaborate in closing customer accounts, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our financial operations.

Skills You'll Need: 

  • 2 years' experience in a similar role, demonstrating proficiency and expertise in financial transactions. 

  • Ability to work to strict targets/deadlines, maintaining composure and focus in fast-paced environments. 

  • Accurate with attention to detail, ensuring precision and reliability in all tasks. 

  • High level of numeracy, enabling you to navigate complex financial data with ease. 

  • Good oral communication, facilitating effective collaboration and customer interaction. 

  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel, empowering you to leverage technology for enhanced productivity and efficiency.
