On this journey to eliminate waste we provide waste collection services to the Commercial & Industrial, Office, Leisure & Retail and Construction industries. Collecting waste with our fleet of Trade Refuse, Skip, Tipper, Grab and Walking Floor articulated vehicles, we transport materials to our material recycling facilities where we produce and recover valuable products such as metals, cardboard, paper, washed sands, biomass for energy and animal bedding.

We are now recruiting for a Personal Assistant to join our team based at our Head Office in Dalkeith, which will provide administrative, personal, and business support to the executives and directors within the business. This is a fast-paced role, and will require an organised and professional individual, with a high attention to detail and be highly trustworthy. The position of Personal Assistant will be diverse in the duties required and will involve liaising with senior stakeholders and decision makers, in addition to acting as a strong representative for the organisation when interacting with external customers.

This is a full-time position, with a normal working week being 40 hours Monday to Friday and will pay a salary of £25,000 per annum. The ability to drive and access to your own vehicle will be advantageous both due to the location of our Head Office, and the requirements of the position.

Main Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant to Executives:

-       Provide wide ranging support to business executives.

-       Manage property agents, sports agents and other personal contacts of the Chief Executive.

-       Represent the company professionally and competently.

-       Manage confidential material in a discreet and appropriate manner.

-       Extensive calendar and diary management.

-       Answering and directing telephone calls.

-       Coordinating schedules, meetings, and appointments.

-       Arranging travel and accommodation.

-       Preparation of letters, invoices, statements and other documentation.

-       Greeting visitors and clients.

-       Recording of minutes at meetings.

-       Holding meetings and reporting back on actions.

-       Maintaining and monitoring budgets and spending.

The ideal Personal Assistant to Executives will be:

-       Highly organised, professional and can multi-task.

-       A strong communicator with a passion for customer service.

-       Emotionally intelligent.

-       The ability to work to your own initiative.

-       Reliable, discreet and trustworthy.

-       Enthusiastic and proactive.

-       A strong IT user of Microsoft Office.

-       Experienced in a similar role.
